Teleconfused no more

The Philippines is known as the texting capital in the world and the country with millions of mobile phone users. With that, I get confused in distinguishing one telecom from the other with regards to prefixes in cellphone numbers.  It becomes a bother when it takes time to know if I can use my telecom's promo with a certain number.

Luckily, I came across an article in the Philippine Daily Inquirer under the column, "The Consumer" by Linda B. Bolido.  She writes the same dilemma she faces which led her to contact the different telecom companies and inquire about the different prefixes.  My big thanks to her and now I'm going to share these helpful facts to you.

Prefixes used by:
1. Globe/TM are 0905, 0906, 0915, 0916, 0917, 0926, 0927, 0935;
2. Smart are 0907, 0908, 0909, 0910, 0912, 0918, 0919, 0920, 0921, 0928, 0929, 0930, 0938, 0939, 0999;
3. Sun are 0922, 0923, 0932, 0933.

Other offers are:
1. Share-a-Load (Globe/TM) -- 2+10 digit number (e.g. 2917XXXXXXX).

I hope these information helped you in some way.  I'll post other consumer tips the next time I come across one. ^_^
