SuperCaliFriggin' Achin' Feet!!!

It all started with our car quitting on us two days ago.  The car decelerated in the middle of the street and a little orange indicator lit in the dashboard. Cute. Little did we know that THAT indicator light will cost us SEVENTEEN THOUSAND PESOS. That much for a tiny bolt under the car called the Oxygen Sensor and it created a hole in the wallet and caused two pairs of aching feet.

Honestly, I forgot how it felt to commute.  We were commuting since yesterday while our car is parked in the garage.  Commuting for us meant riding taxis (roll eyes...that's commuting???) and they are scarce this time of the year.  You have to chase one, pay a street kid to get you one or walk 'til you hail a cab.  In our case, we walked and walked and walked until we eventually reached our destination.  We walked from Uyanguren Street to Victoria Plaza in Bajada (I don't know how far that is...but it feels friggin' far). Walking is fun but when there are vehicles zooming about and loads of dirt in the air, walking can be a pain.  And pain is the only thing I feel right now. Oh and I feel sleepy too but I still need to take a long warm shower... *sigh* And that I'm gonna do right now. So, bye for now! 'Til my next hellish walk of tale.

  1. uyanguren to victoria plaza is about 30minutes of walking. that's fast walking and normal pace walking combined. yeah, been there been that. LOL.

  2. walking is really nice. it's the dust and pollution and reckless drivers i hate.

i didn't ride a jeepney because of a traumatic experience in college. first time to ride a jeepney and i missed my stop 'cause i was too shy to tell the driver to stop until he noticed i was the only one left in the jeep. i had to walk from ponciano to school. not far. but traumatic nonetheless. haha
